Maz Evans' writing career began in journalism as a TV critic and feature writer. She has written for many national titles and is a regular pundit on The Jeremy Vine Show. After working as a creative writing lecturer, she founded Story Stew, an anarchic creative writing programme that has visited primary schools and literary festivals around the UK, including Hay and Imagine. Her debut novel Who Let the Gods Out? was shortlisted for The Waterstones Children Book Prize and the CILIP Carnegie Award. The fourth and final instalment Against All Gods, will be published in February 2019 (pre-order available on our website now).

Maz is renowned for her firecracker energy and sparky wit, making her one of the most sought after authors for primary school events. (Plus she invisibly delivers didactic messages without the children ever noticing they are being taught!) If you would like to have Maz visit your school we can arrange the booking for you, please contact us HERE.
